Below is a copy of the text contained in this email. Please be aware this is NOT a legitimate email and we advise clients not to client the link in this email. If you get this email just ignore it. Do not reply or forward it to us. Also we will never ask our customers to download a script/software onto their own computers. Example of Scam Email: ----------------------------------- Attention! On October 16, 2009 server upgrade will take place. Due to this the system may be offline for approximately half an hour. The changes will concern security, reliability and performance of mail service and the system as a whole. For compatibility of your browsers and mail clients with upgraded server software you should run SSl certificates update procedure. This procedure is quite simple. All you have to do is just to click the link provided, to save the patch file and then to run it from your computer location. During this window, we will perform a number of hardware and software upgrades as described below. In this newsletter, we want to cover a matter of growing importance - that of making sure that your website and e-mails comply with recent EU and Government legislation. From April 1st 2007, it has been a legal requirement that all business websites and e-mail correspondence display the same level of information as standard company headed paper. This means if you are a business website owner you must display the following information on your site and e-mail: <ul> <li>The place of registration for your company, its registration number, and the registered address.</li> </ul> This information should be shown on your 'about us' page or if preferable on the footer of each page of the site. These details must also form part of your e-mail stationary. In addition to this requirement the Office of Data Protection also requires that business sites have a clearly labelled 'privacy statement'. We have not heard of any customer being fined for non compliance, however we have heard of a number of customers being asked to update their sites with these details. The fine for non compliance with this legislation may be up to euro2000.
