SCAM Email Alert



Dear Customer

Today a number of clients have reported to us a clever new scam email. Below is a copy of the text contained in this email. Please be aware this is NOT a legitimate email and we advise clients not to client the link in this email. If you get this email just ignore it. Do not reply or forward it to us. Also we will never ask our customers to download a script/software onto their own computers.

Attention!

On October 16, 2009 server upgrade will take place. Due to this the system may be offline for approximately half an hour.
The changes will concern security, reliability and performance of mail service and the system as a whole.
For compatibility of your browsers and mail clients with upgraded server software you should run SSl certificates update procedure.
This procedure is quite simple. All you have to do is just to click the link provided, to save the patch file and then to run it from your computer location. That's all.

Increase in Scams :

Our servers have seen the normal increase in spam and viruses levels which our filters help to block out. However scam emails can be harder to block out and they are on the increase. If you are ever in doubt please check it out thoroughly.

Common Scam Emails

  • Emails pretending to be from your Bank - Examples AIB, Ulster Bank, Bank of Ireland, etc
  • PayPal Emails asking for your account/login details
  • EBay emails requesting your account
  • Pretend you have won money or someone who needs help to transfer money
